The force has said officers immediately began inquiries and the two teenagers – one from Ipswich, the other from Seaham - were arrested on suspicion of robbery around midnight.

Both were taken taken into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where they were interviewed by detectives in connection with this incident and another robbery around 9.10pm on the same day in Old Foundry Road.

They have since been released on bail to return to the centre on a date next month while inquiries continue.
