TWO boys have been arrested in connection with an arson attack on a children’s play area.
Police were called to Palmstead Road in Pennywell at 1pm on Sunday after reports that a fire was being started, .
Two boys, aged 11 and 13, have been arrested on suspicion of arson.
It comes after a 16-year-old boy was arrested on Friday for throwing a firework in Ford Estate.
All three have been released on bail pending attending a police youth surgery.
Neighbourhood Inspector Dave Pickett said: “Throwing fireworks and setting fires can have serious consequences, and I would like to reiterate that we won’t tolerate the dangerous antisocial behaviour of a minority.”
Extra police patrols were out on Bonfire Night to keep a check on any firework-related crime.
