Rockcliff rallied with two tries, one converted, to lead 12-10, but the Ashbrooke youngsters hit back with a lovely move as Fletcher Jackson burst through and handed off to Farai Chickumbrike to score under the post, with Holder converting.

Jackson struck in the second half, after good work from Brad Wall and Edmundson, with Holder’s conversion making it 24-12.

Holder’s try made it a 17-point game, but Rockcliff responded with a converted try to trail 29-19.

Chickumbrike, though, kept Sunderland well on top, following a well-timed pass from Edmundson. A fantastic drive from the forwards resulted in another brilliant score, with Edmundson jinking through and Holder converting to complete the scoring.

Reece Thompson, Luke Carroll and Brad Lindsay all shone.
