Rugby: 10-try super show as Houghton kick off season in style
Houghton began their Durham/Northumberland Division Three season with a resounding 68-7 derby win over Chester-le-Street on Saturday.
Mark Douglass and Marc Willey both grabbed a hat-trick of tries for the rampant Dairy Lane men, who finished with 10 tries.
Graeme Bennett, Turton, Allan Widdowfield and Daniel Bearn also touched down, with Bearn adding nine conversions.
Houghton’s next match is at West Hartlepool TDSOB this coming Saturday.
