Roads in South Tyneside are submerged by flood water
Heavy storms have flooded a South Tyneside road this evening.
Water has partially blocked the road outside of Kennedy's bar in South Eldon Street, Tyne Dock, South Shields, and also covered the roundabout.
The road was still submerged at 9.45pm tonight,
An eyewitness said: "There's a council van there and a man is telling people to turn around, but some people are still braving it.
"Whenever there seems to be a heavy downpour this area always floods."
