Road reopens after vehicle overturns on A19
Both lanes of the A19 are now open after a vehicle overturned during rush hour.
Northumbria Police have confirmed the road was reopened around 8pm and traffic is now flowing normally following the incident near the A690 junction.
Police were called at 5.55pm to an overturned vehicle which shut part of the road for over an hour.
Police could say how many people were in the vehicle or the extent of passenger injuries.
