RNLI crews called out after woman jumps into sea off Roker Pier in Sunderland
Lifeboat crews were scrambled following reports that a woman had jumped into the sea off Roker Pier.
The coastguard was informed at about 12.40pm on Sunday that a woman had been seen jumping into the water.
Volunteer crews from Sunderland RNLI rushed to the scene but she was later found to be already out of the water.
She was then handed over to paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service.
