Reports of burglary at a Sunderland Jobcentre

Police are investigating after reports of a burglary at a Sunderland Job Centre.

Police received a call that the Jobcentre in Sunderland was broken into at 7.30am today.

However, nothing was stolen from the scene.

A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "At 7.30am this morning we received a report of a burglary at a Job Centre in John Street, Sunderland.

"Nothing was stolen.

"Inquiries are now ongoing to establish more information."
