A THEATRE kicks off its 2012/13 season with comedy Kindly Leave the Stage, by John Chapman.

The Royalty Theatre’s first play of the season follows dinner guests Rupert and Sarah announcing their impending divorce to their fellow guests.

As the dinner party continues, the actors begin to get their lines wrong and the audience realise they are watching a play within a play.

Laughs abound in this fast- faced comedy and follows previous popular Royalty shows of this genre such as Noises off and Chorus of Disapproval.

Other shows this season include The Edge of Darkness, Sleeping Beauty and Calendar Girls.

Kindly Leave the Stage begins on Monday and runs until September 22.

Tickets are £8 and £6.50 concessions, from the Tourist Information Centre, Fawcett Street or by calling 565 2000. They are also available online via www.royaltytheatre.co.uk.
