A BUSINESSMAN will sponsor a raffle in aid of the hospice that cared for his father.

Kevin Brown, managing director of Pacifica Group, based in Chester-Le-Street, will sponsor the bi-annual raffle in aid of St Cuthbert’s Hospice in Durham.

His father Alan spent his final days at the hospice after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer at the age of 76.

Mr Brown said: “They looked after my father towards the end of his life and provided wonderful support and care to him and our family. It is so important to know that your loved one is in the right environment towards the end of their life.”

The raffle will be drawn on July 27, when one supporter will win £1,000.
