The visit gave the children a tour of the development to see how buildings are constructed, how sites are managed and how important health and safety is.

Wearing obligatory hard hats and hi-vis jackets, the children were taken round by site officials from main building contractors Bowmer and Kirkland.

The new leisure extension is well under way with the first restaurant openings planned for this summer.

“They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and can’t wait to come back when everything is open.”
