Police seek suspected victims of ATM fraud


Suspected victims of an ATM fraud are being sought by police.

The incidents, in which a ‘skimming’ device was attached to cashpoints, occurred at Barclays Bank in Chester-le-Street in December 2015 and February this year.

Anyone who used one of the two Barclays cashpoints on Front Street, in Chester-le-Street, on any of the dates outlined below and was unable to retrieve their card is asked to contact DC Sarah Hindmarsh on 101.

Two men, aged 31 and 39, have been charged with conspiracy to commit fraud and remanded in custody to appear before Peterlee Magistrates on May 17.
