Police issue CCTV appeal after cash theft in Washington

Police investigating the theft of money from a cash point in Washington have released an image of a man they want to speak to.

Officers are hoping to trace a dark haired man, wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, and carrying a child in his arms, following the incident on Saturday, February 27.

A woman withdrew money from the cash machine at Sainsbury's in The Galleries, before being distracted and leaving it behind.

The cash was subsequently stolen and police are keen to identify the man pictured as it's thought he was in the area at the time and may have information that can help with enquiries.
