Police hunt bike-riding suspect after cash is stolen in Sunderland convenience store robbery

A masked robber made off with cash after he stormed a Sunderland convenience store than threatened staff.

The incident happened at 8.50am on Sunday, at Nisa in Hylton Road, Pallion.

A man went into the store and threatened staff. He made off with a quantity of cash.

No-one was injured in the robbery.

Detectives are carrying out enquiries and believe the offender was riding a red bike and was wearing dark clothing.

He may have have also been wearing a white-coloured mask and carrying a holdhall-type bag.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw anyone fitting a similar description in the area, yesterday morning to get in contact.
