Police appeal after purse was snatched in Sunderland charity shop

Police are hunting thieves who stole a woman's purse as she browsed a Sunderland charity shop,.

The victim was in the Salvation Army Shop in Blandford Street, when her purse was taken from inside her bag on Saturday, January 2.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

They are especially keen to trace two women who spoke to the victim shortly before the purse was taken, at 6.50pm.

The purse is described as black, with a pink jewel on the zip, and contained cards and cash.
