Plenty of festive laughs - and presents - to be had at Jason Cook's Comedy Club

There will be plenty of laughs '“ and presents '“ as Christmas comes early for audiences at South Tyneside theatre.

The North East’s largest comedy club will be putting on a festive special at the Customs House in Mill Dam, South Shields, tomorrow night.

Jason Cook’s Comedy Club – run by the comedian and writer of BBC Two comedy Hebburn – has had an outstanding year and the show aims to celebrate that - as well as being a comedy gig.

The guests are also in for a special treats.

Jason said: “I’ve ordered presents for all the audience.

“Stupid idea really, all the comedy promoters I know all over the country have been calling me an idiot but I like to spend money on the shows to make them the most fun they can possibly be.

“That’s why, even though we are the biggest club in the North East, we are also the cheapest. By selling so many tickets I’m able to get the best comedians working today but still keep the price down.

“The comedians for this show certainly are no exception to that rule. Larry Dean is fast becoming a star in comedy having already been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award and toured across the globe.

“Make sure to se him now before you have to go to the arena! I’ve never seen him do anything else but reduce a crowd to absolute hysterics.”

Finally, completing the line-up is Tom Lucy, who is one of the most talked-about young comedians in showbusiness at the moment.

Tickets are £9.50 and are available from the box office in person.
