The 83-year-old, who charmed viewers for years on ITV's This Morning, was laid to rest today following a service attended by hundreds at Sunderland Minster.

Mourners gathered outside the church from this morning, keen to pay their own respects to "Aunt Denise", who has become a part of the lives of so many.
