A talented student has snapped up third place in a national photography competition.

Megan Ogden, 16, an A-level student at East Durham College, took the prize in the Exhibtr 2015/16 Student Photography Competition sponsored by Olympus.

The theme of the competition was ‘Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle’ encouraging students to show off their ability to compose a great image and Megan was one of thousands of entries.

Megan, a former pupil at The Academy at Shotton Hall, said she got interested in photography about three years ago.

She said: “I really like taking pictures of people and I hope to have a career doing wedding and baby photography. I’d like to travel and take pictures of people from other cultures as well.”
