Lockdown rules have been eased this week, meaning we are allowed to meet with groups of six people outside if social distancing is maintained. But what do our readers think of the changes?

Following Thursday’s announcement, we asked if the new regulations go far enough and what people make of the alterations.

Here are some of the responses:

Marlene Beckett: Too much happening too fast, my head's spinning trying to keep up with it. This virus will be back with a vengeance I hope and pray I’m wrong it’s got me terrified

Brenda Brown: Well you obviously cannot please everyone. Not all of the time Not some of the time .NO Matter what our PM does someone will find fault . He's Damned if he does, he's Damned if he doesn't. Cannot understand some folks thinking

Neil Foster: It's been a half hearted lockdown from day one. Relaxing the lockdown when there's still hundreds of deaths a day is scary!!

Sarah L Robson: Virus is still in high numbers yet people are being made to go back to work even those who can work from home. Awaiting the next spike.

Shaun Keelan: I find it bizarre that we’re told we MUST stay 2 metres distance with friends in a garden, however 2 metres at work is just a guideline and doesn’t have to always be 2 metres.

Ann Storey: Far too early, in my opinion, death rate still far too high, people still losing loved ones to this terrible virus!

Sheila Hazlewood: Don't think he should have eased gatherings yet, not until middle of June or the end.

Sarah Shah: We can share a garden with six other people socially distancing but have been able to share B&Q car park with hundreds of strangers to que for paint for weeks? The mind boggles.

Michael Mountain: No matter what he says or does, no one is happy.

Raymond Mills: I think this relaxation is too early. The lockdown should have remained longer, better to be safe than sorry.

David Cowley: Six people from six different households seems a bit iffy to me.
