Sunderland's Keel Square ice rink is back - here's when it's open and how to buy tickets

Sunderland’s festive ice rink is open for business and will be in place into the New Year.
So what do you need to know to have a n-ice time this Christmas?
When is the ice rink open?
The rink is open every day from now until Sunday, January 5.
Between now and Saturday, December 21, the rink is open to school parties and special groups from 10am to noon Monday to Friday, with public skating from noon-9pm.
On Saturday and Sunday, the rink is open to the public from 10am to 9pm.
From Saturday, December 21, public sessions will run from 10am to 9pm seven days a week.
The rink is open every day except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, but will close at 6pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
How much does it cost?
Skating sessions are priced at £9 for adults, £7.50 for children aged from five to 17 and £3 for under-fives.
Family tickets are available for £25 which cover two adults and two children or one adult & three children.
Skating aids are available for £3, subject to availability.
A select number of tickets are available to buy on-line prior to your time on the ice. Should on-line tickets be sold out, there will also be a number of tickets available to buy from the ticket
office at the ice rink on the day of your visit, ojne a first come, first served basis.
Anyone wanting to skate on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve is advised to pre-book to ensure time on the ice.

How do we book for a group or school party?
Group bookings can be made for school Christmas outings, work days out, birthday celebrations or simply getting together with friends.
Exclusive use of the ice rink is available: Monday–Friday 10am–noon until Friday, December 20.
Schools bookings cost £100 for up to 20 children, additional skaters at £5 each. Teachers/carers go free.
