Volunteers for Sunderland RNLI were challenged to take part in the Pass the Pager video task after being nominated by their colleagues in Hartlepool.

The video, pieced together using clips from 10 volunteers, shows them at home, on boats and out exercising “passing the pager” to the next person with the help of some clever editing!

Andy McGill, Sunderland RNLI’s Lifeboat Press Officer, said: “It is a bit of fun that many lifeboat stations across the UK have taken part in and I’m really pleased with how ours has turned out.

“Our volunteers remain on-call operating as a first responder duty crew to provide a 24-hour search and rescue service, should we be required to launch our lifeboats.”
