Sunderland landmarks will be lit blue tonight in memory of war veteran Captain Sir Tom Moore after the 100-year-old died yesterday, Tuesday, February 3 following a positive case of covid.

In April, Sir Tom set out to raise £1,000 for health service charities by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday and went on to raise an incredible £32m.
