“It’s not fair how some people can’t get things and it makes me sad, so I wanted to help,” she said.

Gabriella worked with local community group Washington Elf’s, who helped distribute the food to families who were struggling to get what they needed over the festive season.

The Washington Elf’s community group worked with people in the area to help support struggling families by fundraising to buy gifts and food to help others to mark the festivities despite the difficulties they face.

Gabriella, who says she loves to help others and put smiles on faces, was determined to help others who were struggling have a good Christmas and her mum said she made the whole family incredibly proud.

Mum Rebecca Coyne said: “It makes me extremely proud to be her Mum. She’s got a heart of gold and just loves helping other people. It’s lovely to see.

“She’s missing her friends and teachers with the schools being closed at the minute but she’s staying positive and keeping herself occupied with home learning.”

Previously, Gabriella has helped support the homeless by raising money and aims to end each year by doing a charitable deed to help and support others.
