Neighbours celebrate after £1,000 win on People's Postcode Lottery

A group of neighbours are toasting their good fortune after netting £1,000 each on the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Four people, from Bruce Kirkup Road in Peterlee, took home the prize when their postcode was announced as a daily prize winner on Thursday, April 23.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners on their success.

She said: “I’m so pleased for our winners, what a great surprise to start their day. I hope they treat themselves to something nice with their winnings.”

To date, players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500million for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by the Wildlife Trusts, which have received over £12.6million in funding from the game’s players.

The Wildlife Trusts look after more than 2,300 nature reserves and operate more than 100 visitor and education centres across the country.
