Missing Penshaw man found 'fit and well' following a social media appeal

Northumbria Police have confirmed that missing Sunderland man Anthony Trueman was found “fit and well”.

Officers searching for 36-year-old Anthony have confirmed that he was found “fit and well” during the early hours of Friday, January 22.

A social media appeal was launched in an effort to locate Anthony after he was seen leaving his address in Penshaw at 11.15am on January 21.

A tweet from Northumbria Police said: “We are pleased to confirm that missing 36-year-old Penshaw man, Anthony Trueman, has been found fit and well earlier this morning.

“Thank you to everyone who helped police.”
