A search launched after an 84-year-old man went missing from home as found him “safe and well.”

Durham Constabulary issued an appeal to find Charles Clemment, who was last seen in Wheatley Hill at about 11pm on Saturday, October 31.

It was reported he had links to the Trimdon area as the force appealed for help to find him.

Police have since confirmed he has been found.

A spokesperson said: “Charlie Clemment has been found safe and well.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
