The latest Sunderland street where neighbours have shared a lottery win

Four residents in Blackheath Close, Washington, have received £1,000 each after their NE37 2LU postcode was selected as a People’s Postcode Lottery daily prize winner.

Their windfall comes just days after 12 neighbours in Waxwing, Washington, received an identical sum each after their postcode was picked out in another daily draw.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson sent his well-wishes to the latest winners, adding: “I’m delighted for all of our winners in Washington today.

"I hope they enjoy spending the win and treat themselves with the prize money.”

A minimum of 32% of lottery ticket sales goes directly to charities and People’s Postcode Lottery players have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
