The 30-year-old said the kitchen area was previously very dark and builders have already knocked down walls to make way for a larger and lighter kitchen.

Crosby, who won the 12th series of Celebrity Big Brother, is now documenting the changes to the home on a new Instagram account, The Crosby Manor, which already has more than 40,000 followers.

Work is now underway for the new kitchen from Durham Kitchens and Bathrooms, on Great Lumley.

Posting on her new Instagram account, Crosby said: "The kitchen is to die for. The design that we’ve come up with is just wow.

"I don’t think you will have seen another kitchen like this ever. I like to do things very differently.”

"The kitchen is really light, loads of different tones of woods. I’m actually going to be having wood panelling along along all of one wall.”

Crosby previously spoke of how she broke down in tears when she found out she was able to move back into her home which she says she had rented out to a ‘lovely family’ after moving away from the North East.
