Eight pictures from around Sunderland on first day Bank Holiday Weekend after lockdown measures eased

Pictures show parks, beaches and fast food chains in Sunderland have remained fairly quiet on the first day of the Bank Holiday weekend after lockdown measures were eased earlier this month.

Sunderland’s beaches and parks appeared much busier earlier this week as temperatures soared across the UK.
