People enjoyed a range of cultural activities as Sunderland marked a milestone in its campaign to help beat global poverty.
Visitors to the One World Party and Fairtrade Marketplace at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens were able to celebrate and share in local and global culture this weekend.

The event was held as Sunderland marked its eighth year as a Fairtrade city.
Gifts, crafts, food and snacks, toys and jewellery were on sale at the marketplace, which was attended by Sunderland’s Deputy Mayor, Coun Alan Emerson and his wife Janice.
Among the other attractions were Pantastic steel drums, animals from around the world with Discovery Zoo, Fairandfunky SCRAPtastic workshop, Henna art, Fairtrade Selfie corner, African hair braiding, tropical Winter Gardens trail, quizzes and crafts.
