Pat McCormack back in World Series Boxing action

The Washington boxer has been named in the British Lionhearts team for their first home match of the season against the Mexico Guerreros at York Hall tomorrow night.

McCormack was victorious in his first appearance, against the USA Knockouts last month,

The 2015 European Championship silver medallist enjoyed a light-welterweight points win over America’s Gary Russell.

He sat out GB’s win over Morocco though twin brother Luke did box – and won – in the 3-2 success in Casablanca.

But Pat, who represents Birtley ABC, resumes in the Lionhearts team who are looking to build on away wins against USA and Morocco and come up against a Mexican team that will be trying to bounce back after losing its last WSB tie to America.

Tomorrow night’s match will be shown live on BoxNation, on Sky channel 437, from 8pm.
