@RamseySAFC: Buzzing with that 100% deserved, 2nd half we were really good. Maguire and Mumba were the 2 stand outs for me. Loovens really grew into the game as well in the 2nd half we looked solid at the back. #safc

@76skelly: Fair play to Charlton, they pressed really well in the 1st half making it hard to make any ground. We deserved the 3 points in the end though #SAFC

@DanielJenks89: The noise when we scored the winner was fantastic. Winning is a great habit, and we need to continue that positive momentum from now until the start of May #SAFC

@johno31_safc: Fantastic result. What a player maguire looks, always wants the ball, here’s to a good season!! #safc #Hawaythelads #sunderlandtilidie #gooooooch

@KerryMc2013: Still lots to work on, but what a start to the season. The emotion showed by the players after Gooch's winner was so refreshing, let's hope we can keep it going - party time in League 1 #safc

@darrenord: Great result today, took a while to gel but got stronger as the game went on. Mumba was a different class considering how young he is. #safc

@JWHendry46: Hell of a result under the circumstances. Poor first half but grew in confidence. Gooch and Maguire were brilliant! Hopefully not every game is that stressful though... #SAFC

@DeanoMCMLXXII: New owners, new players, new seats, a win and the Cherry on the cake new hand dryers in the toilets. Things are looking up. #safc

@JS9433: Oviedo what a bloke. Clearly doesn’t want to be here, didn’t celebrate the goal and went straight off after FT but what a player !! #SAFC @Bryan_Oviedo

@KrisCoxon: Be a shame if @Bryan_Oviedo leaves as thought he was tremendous when he came on today. The team looks more balanced and a threat down that left hand side. #safc
