THANKS to the anonymous reader who sent in this photo of Tesco’s new sweet-free checkout initiative featuring that most healthy of snacks, erm, sugar-coated popcorn.
The reader has captioned the photo: “Tesco sweet-free checkout initiative gets off to promising start.”
What the reader didn’t realise was that the popcorn is wrapped in a double-strength reinforced industrial waste bag that is so hard to prise open that the consumer burns up in excess of 300 calories just to get at the contents.
Unless, of course, Tesco popcorn isn’t made of sugar and corn, but something else! Neigh chance!
