Paul Bell posted the clip Facebook after being blown away by the young lad’s talent.

He said: “I watched him for five minutes. His voice is awesome. I hope he goes on some sort of TV singing contest or gets a recording contract.”

Other social media users replied and said they thought the singer was Bailey Nelson who featured on the ITV’s The Voice in 2018.

During his time of the show, he impressed judge Olly Murs who hit the red button to see the singer being the voice.

Nelson, who is originally from Devon is well known for busking in the North East.

A video of him singing a cover of ‘Hallelujah’ on Northumberland Street in Newcastle last year has been viewed millions of times online.

Darian McLoughlin commented on Facebook and said: “That’s Bailey Nelson, he is extremely good. He was on The Voice.”

“How he does not having a professional singing contract I do not know.”

Donna Banks Wilson also wished the singer well for the future, saying: “He’s amazing. I love seeing him. I hope he gets somewhere, he deserves it.”

Praise flooded in with support for the busker, as Danielle Brown said: “I seen him for the first time last week and he has an amazing voice.”

Diane Howarth commented: “He’s fantastic, wow.”

Jan Bird added: “Listened today, lovely voice.”

Leanne Wright summed up the singer in one word: “Awesome.”
