One taken to hospital after rush hour road smash in Sunderland
One person was taken to hospital after an accident on a busy Sunderland road this morning.
A Lexus and a Toyota collided in Queen Alexandra Road, close to the junction with Meadowside, around 8.15am.
A North East Ambulance Service crew took one person to Sunderland Royal Hospital, suffering from minor injuries.
