Oil spill leaves Sunderland road in dangerous condition

Police are on the scene of an oil spill on a busy Sunderland road.

Motorists have been warned by North East Traffic Live that the carriageway has been left in a dangerous condition on the B1405 on Essen Way, between Premiere Road and Leechmere Road.

It has said Sunderland City Council has been informed about the problem.
