The first trailer for the long-awaited Bridget Jones movie leaves fans guessing as to who the father of her baby is.
The third instalment in the popular movie adaptation of Helen Fielding's books, titled Bridget Jones's Baby, sees actress Renee Zellweger return to the role of Bridget after a 12-year break.
Newly-released footage reveals Bridget's pregnancy - and her dilemma as to whether the father is her old flame, Mark Darcy (played by Colin Firth) or hunky newcomer, Jack Qwant (played by Patrick Dempsey).
To ensure that movie-goers are kept in the dark as to the identity of the father, until the film opens in September, three different endings were filmed.
In an interview earlier this year, Zellweger is quoted as telling the Sunday Express: "It's kind of brilliant. None of the cast knows who fathered Bridget's baby or who she'll choose as her beau. The plan is to keep us all in the dark, right up to the premiere."
Grey's Anatomy star Dempsey plays a suave, wealthy American who sweeps Bridget off her feet.
Additional highlights from the new trailer are singer Ed Sheeran's cameo and Emma Thompson, who stars in and was also one of the writers of the movie.
Thompson is seen briefly playing Bridget's obstetrician as she has an ultrasound.
Actress Gemma Jones reprises her role as Bridget's mum, Pamela, and on hearing of her daughter's pregnancy and that there is a "50% chance the baby may be Mark's", she responds: "A 50% chance? Did you have a three way?"
The film is directed by Sharon Maguire, who directed the first movie, Bridget Jones's Diary, in 2001.
