Notts County v Hartlepool United: Team news, Thomas, Carroll out for Pools

Thomas, who scored twice in the 5-2 romp at Morecambe, missed out with a chest infection, while Carroll was unfit after taking a bang to the head late in the game at the Globe Arena.

Rhys Oates, who scored the fifth and final goal against the Shrimps, came into the XI in attack while there was a welcome return for Michael Duckworth at full-back. Dan Jones and Connor Smith came in on the bench.

Izale McLeod came in for the Magpies, who were also looking for back-to-back wins after beating Stevenage 1-0 at Meadow Lane at the weekend.
