Norwich City boss Alex Neil could have key defender Timm Klose fit for tomorrow's massively important Premier League clash with relegation rivals Sunderland.

The Swiss defender has been a doubt all week, since jarring a knee in last week’s 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.

Sebastien Bassong is on standby to replace the January signing, but Neil is hopeful on Klose’s availability for the 12.45pm kick-off at Carrow Road.

“Timm Klose has been wrapped up in cotton wool this week and hasn’t done much, but we hope he can play tomorrow,” said Neil at his pre-match press conference this afternoon.

On the game itself, with Norwich four points better off than Sunderland, the former Hamilton manager said: “I’m confident and comfortable with our preparation. This is the type of high-pressure game that you play football for.

“We’ll approach tomorrow trying to win the game and we’ve got every chance of doing just that.

“The fans have a massive impact. They were incredible against Newcastle and we need them to replicate that tomorrow.”
