Northern League: Ian Chandler takes charge at Bishop Auckland

Bishop Auckland have appointed Wearsider Ian Chandler as their new manager.

The former Durham City boss – who won the FA Vase three times as manager with Whitley Bay – takes over at the Two Blues, who finished fourth-bottom in the Ebac Northern League First Division this season.

Chandler, who will be backed by assistant boss Brian Rowe, told “I am delighted to accept the offer of appointment as team manager of this great club and I can’t wait to start work building a squad for next season.

“As a manager, I like my team to be entertaining but competitive, ensuring every opposing club never has an easy game.”
