Northern League: Durham end miserable season with defeat as North Shields seal fifth-place finish
Relegated Durham City completed a difficult on and off the field season with a 3-0 defeat in last night's Ebac Northern League First Division game at North Shields.
Ryan Carr (2) and Gareth Bainbridge earned the Robins three points which enables them to finish fifth.
Guisborough Town ended third, behind champions Shildon and runners-up Marske United, after they saw off Marske 3-1 with goals by Danny Earl (2) and Connor Smith. Josh Myers replied for the Seasiders.
