A REGIONAL computer games retailer has been forced to apologise after workers disgraced themselves at a prestigious awards ceremony.

The Games Media Awards was disrupted when Grainger Games employees arrived in a company-branded HumVee accompanied by two glamour girls and two dwarves who handed out company-branded condoms.

The drunk employees heckled speakers, including host Greg Davies, of the Inbetweeners, and were heard shouting “Toon Army, Toon Army” throughout.

They also slow-clapped an acceptance speech for a lifetime achievement award.

Grainger Games is an independent chain of computer games retailers, which has a store at Waterloo Place in Sunderland city centre.

The company released an apology for the debacle.
