Nissan in 4x4 recall

Have your say

CAR giant Nissan is pulling thousands of trucks off the road after fears the alloy wheels could crack.

Owners of more than 35,000 Navara 4x4s have been told to take them to a dealer’s garage straight away for safety checks after the potentially lethal fault was discovered by an owner in Holland.

Nissan says there have been no incidents with any of the £18,000 vehicles, but they are doing a voluntary recall.

A spokesman for the Sunderland-based Japanese car company, said: “We are doing everything in our power to contact people who have bought a Navara.”
