Collingwood steered Star to promotion in 2015 but subsequently moved on to become joint manager at the now-defunct Jarrow Roofing.

Collingwood has tempted four former Roofing men – midfielders Paul Gardiner and Anthony Myers and defensive pair Darryll Donnelly and Dan Kirkup – to join him at Seaham.

Midfielder Andy Johnston has signed up for a third season with Seaham, with Lee Hetherington also committing himself.

Washington striker Vinny Gash has moved south from the newly-relegated Nissan-based side, while a move for Mechanics defender Alex White fell through when he was approached to sign a one-year contract at Evo-Stik League side Whitby Town, signing for the Yorkshire club for a second time.
