Mountain bike stolen from van in Sunderland

A mountain bike was stolen from inside a van in a Sunderland street.

The bike which was stolen from a van in West Mount, Sunderland.

The theft happened between 2pm on Sunday, April 17 and 6.30am on Monday, April 18 in West Mount, High Barnes, just off Chester Road.

The van was locked when thieves broke in and stole the bike that was inside.

The distinctive bike is a bright yellow and black Lapierre Zesty 427AM double suspension mountain bike.

Its serial number is LP5311518.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and appealing for anyone with information about where the bike is to get in contact.

If anyone has been offered a similar bike for sale then police would like to hear from them.
