RESIDENTS in a Sunderland community are seeing more buses in their area after Stagecoach North East introduced additional services.
The company has increased the frequency of its services to run every five minutes during peak times from Town End Farm to the city centre.
The route takes in Hylton Lane, Southwick, Wheatsheaf, John Street and Holmeside in the city centre, Barnes Park, Farringdon and Doxford Park and if successful, will be made a permanent route.
Customers within the North Estates are also being offered a full day’s travel to the city centre and back for £3.
The offer is available on services 3, 4, 13 and 16.
Commercial director Robin Knight said: “We have listened to our customers and as a result, the enhanced frequency of bus services for Town End Farm was introduced.
“To complement the additional journeys, the dayrider ticket makes a trip to the city centre excellent value for money.”
