Missing Sunderland teenager found safe and well

A SUNDERLAND teenager who went missing from her home almost a week ago has been found safe and well.

Nadia Wright, also known as Creighton was last seen at 3pm on Monday, December 16, when she was dropped off at the junction of Hawthorn Avenue and Blind Lane.

The 13-year-old said she was going to see a friend in Castletown but failed to return to her Hawthorn Avenue home as planned that evening.

Northumbria Police confirmed on Saturday that she had been found safe and well.

A spokesman added: “The public and media are thanked for their assistance.”
