TAKE That fans were among passengers caught out in rail disruption.
Fans heading up to the Stadium of Light Concerts on Saturday faced misery after trains to London were halted.
As reported in the Echo, there was disruption on the East Coast Main Line after problems with overhead cables between Peterborough and Grantham.
The disruption meant no trains were able to pass, leading to Grand Central being forced to scrap its Saturday services to and from the capital.
Concert goers caught out had to find alternative transport to reach the stadium.
Those with rail tickets for Saturday were able to use them once services got back on track yesterday.
