Metro services delayed as police called to deal with 'intoxicated' passenger
Nexus, which owns the system, said trains heading between South Hylton to the Airport were delayed by 15 minutes due to a train being held at Millfield.
The stop at around 5.15pm was carried out because of a severely intoxicated man.

Hide AdThe police were called and he has been been taken away from the station. This all happened in the last half an hour.
A Metro spokesman said: “A train was held at Millfield as the police had to attend to deal with a passenger in intoxicated state.
"This has resulted in delays heading up to the airport.
“This was a police incident to deal with a public order issue so the delays were beyond our control.”
