TWO men charged with the murder of an oil executive have been remanded in custody after making their first appearance before a court.
Rakesh Bhayani, 40, and Nicholas Kutner, 47, appeared before Croydon Magistrates’ Court to face the allegation they murdered Carole Waugh, 50, who was originally from Haswell.
They spoke only to confirm their names and dates of birth during the hearings and were told their next court date would be at the Old Bailey on November 22.
Miss Waugh’s body was found with a single stab wound inside a car in a garage in New Malden, south west London, on August 2.
She had been reported missing by her family in May 7 and was last seen by her brother Chris when he waved her off from Durham station after a family party as she returned home to Marylebone in London.
Unemployed Bhayani, of Chamberlayne Avenue, Wembley, and Kutner, of no fixed address, have already been charged with offences relating to Miss Waugh’s finances and property.
